posting new comments slow

Hi there,

I have noticed that, while the website's performance is in general quite good, posting new comments takes very long (over a minute). Previewing the message is quick and I haven't had errors while posting so far, it's just slow.

I'm using FF 9.01, posting in the "Python Programming" course.

   I just noticed that the post is actually sent quite quickly: if I open the forum in a new window just after sending a new message (while the message window is still showing the "Post comment" or "Reply" page), the message already appears in the thread. My guess is that there is something after the "post" action that keeps the forum page from loading, even though the message has actually been sent.

   I will look into it (guessing it is the ~ 411 + 46 notifications), there are probably some performance improvements we can do. Thanks for the report.
