Badge Submission Notification--Remove Notification

Hullo, reporting what might be a bug in notifications.

John mentioned that he had the " Someone posts a submission for the badges of one of the challenges I adopted." box unchecked, but is still getting notifications for it.

Is there a bug here?

(I have unchecked the box to see if I can replicate the issue).
