Hello,
I've just discovered P2PU and thinking through whether it could be used to run an informal learning course.

Is there a way to set due dates for a task?

Thanks for your help,

    Hi

Most tasks at P2PU are open-ended, and we encourage people to learn at their own pace as they make their way through the material. Also, since P2PU is virtual, we realised that timezones can be a problem with setting hard deadlines!

But that doesn't mean that you can't set due dates for tasks.

One way of making this work might be to get peers to evaluate each others' work. If people know that someone will be looking at something they have produced (via email, a blog post with a link on the P2PU course, or uploaded directly into the task) and then evaluating it, that will probably encourage them to submit by a certain date and time. Also, if you have some kind of synchronous discussion (via skype, or the chat feature built in to P2PU) then people could bring their work to that meeting.

Let us know if we can help you with anything else!
    Best
    Bekka
