Joining Courses, Study Groups and Challenges

Important clarification: In general, all P2PU groups are referred to as "courses". However, P2PU offers three layout options for course designers. They are called study group, course, and challenge. The difference between the three are in the layout of features on the page and how people can join and what they can do once they are a participant.

Joining Study Groups and Courses

Study groups and courses require a sign-up that includes a standard set of questions. The organizer has the ability to open, moderate, and close sign-up. Details for sign-up status are located in the left side-bar. If the signup is moderated you will need to wait for one of the course organizers (which will be notified when you post your signup answer) to accept you into the group. Once approved, you will receive a notification welcoming you to the group. Courses & study groups with non-moderated signup allow you to become a participant immediately after posting the signup answer.

Courses & study groups also allow P2PU members to "follow" courses. Following courses allows you to receive notifications of activity, but does not allow participation. You can change your notification settings for each course you participate or follow in your profile.

Joining Challenges

To join a challenge you just need to click "start challenge". No signup process is necessary.
